Gorgeous people - Lev Cribb

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

Ok, the second introduction of Gorgeous people is Lev Cribb. Lev is Account Director and Marketing Specialist for Gorgeous Creative Communications. His background is in traditional and digital marketing and his natural affinity and interest in any new online developments means he is amongst the leaders and early adopters in this line of work.

Lev holds a Degree in Marketing from the University of Stirling and has a strong multinational background, both personally and professionally. His work has taken him to Germany, England, Scotland, Singapore and the Middle East. From each of these stations he has picked up best practices and an understanding on differences in approach and mentality - at least that’s what he told us.

Do you digg? Us, yourself, others?

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

If you’ve not yet heard about about Digg (or Reddit, or similar sites), they are sites you can submit articles or blog posts to that you found interesting to read. By submitting them, you then give others (are they called diggers? Answers on a postcard - or Tweet please) the opportunity to rate, or digg, it too. It’s a form of endorsement of the article beyond just reading it.

Gorgeous people - Mark Gunner

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Who are all these gorgeous people (or “tweeple”, if you found us on our Gorgeous twitter page) - or maybe you haven’t asked yourself this question at all… Either way is fine for us - let us introduce ourselves, one by one.

Due to his upcoming appearance as one of the speakers at Event 360, we have chosen our Gorgeous Managing Director Mark Gunner (he prefers to be called “Creative Director” - but let’s call a spade, a spade - to go first. So here we go:

Twitter, Tweets, Twestival - Gorgeous is there!

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

So this is probably the most revealing post on this blog so far. It also has the potential to be the post with the most ‘geek factor’ ever to hit this blog.

Gorgeous has officially joined Twitter.com and is now twittering away with others, reading tweets and (considering) attending a twestival. Too much for you? Haven’t got a clue what we’re talking about? We don’t blame you, neither did we up until a week or so ago…

Gorgeous goes Green!

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

This is the first of a series of posts about something close to our hearts - the environment and the world we live in.

Our intention is to convey the facts about carbon footprints, global warming and other important environmental issues. We can then see what we (Gorgeous and you - our clients) can do to make a difference. It is easier than one might think, it just requires the knowledge of the facts and the willingness to get involved.

As this program develops you may want to get involved and hep us. If this is the case, please email us at green@gorgeous-creative.com - we’d love to hear from you.

What a performance - A Top 40 finish!

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

We did it - Team “Gorgeous, Coast & Friends” completed the “Nivea For Men 24hr Endurance Challenge” at the Dubai Autodrome!

After what seemed more like 24 days than 24 hours the team completed more than 1000 laps totaling more than 1200km, 25 driver changes, 24 refueling stops, one technical stop and even got a formal warning from the race marshals (naughty boys!). In the end it was a hard fought battle for position and while there was much fun had, we all got our competitive faces on to try and do as well as possible.

Race preparations - Update!

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

What started out as “All we need to do is enter a team and turn up on the day!” has very quickly turned into a completely over-competitive and over-motivated race-preparation week…

It is no wonder then that it is not good enough to just borrow race suits from the Kartdrome, but we will have to have our own (naturally!), it is also not good enough to just use standard gloves… after all that could lead to blisters and all that moisturising before bed would be completely wasted!

The 24 hours of Dubai

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

Whoever said you can’t work and have fun!?

Gorgeous has just teamed up with some of the guys from The Coast 103.2 radio station and entered a team into the “Nivea For Men Endurance Challenge” – a 24-hour LeMans style Kart race at the Dubai Autodrome.

“Team Gorgeous, Coast & Friends” is certainly NOT the most skilled in the line-up, but we have no doubt that it will be most fun! Rick & Daniel from The Coast’s Breakfast show will join our own motley crew to form what can only be a must-see, once in a lifetime performance!

Is it just us or do you ever only notice that Dubai is busy when the schools are back and everyone is home from vacation? Either that, or somebody has imported an extra 1 trillion cars to Dubai over the summer (even that wouldn’t surprise us!).

If you haven’t yet noticed, the first paragraph is our way of coming up with an excuse and skimming over the fact that we haven’t written a single blog post in August! Eeeek! Sorry - we know you were on the edge of your seat waiting!
